The SAF of Grand Rapids holds an annual fundraising event known as MindShare. The focus of the event is on raising funds to assist GRPS students to purchase resources in various impact areas. The SAF needed help developing an exciting theme that built steady anticipation for MindShare 2016.
A theme developed around the GRPS "Transformation Plan" and the way in which the plan affects the education and lives of the students and molds the community as a whole.
Event attendees were sent three separate digital save the dates via MailChimp over the course of 3 months. Each save the date included additional information in order to build excitement and interest. The Find Out More button then linked them to the webpage to discover more information.

The inside panels highlight Student Advancement Foundation's focus on Education and Community and information pertaining to night of the event. The format of the Invite was creatively driven by the element of transformation to uniquely stand out. Also included in the package was an RSVP in a familiar, postcard format for the donors to easily fill out and return in the A2 envelope.
MindShare guests are greeted by a stair graphics in the JW Marriott on their way to the cocktail party. It serves as an element of engagement for the guests as they walk up to grab their nametags and begin networking with others.
The focus for the MindShare name tags was to utilize color in a way that played on the polygonal illustration style. No two name tags of the eight variations are the same and this execution reinforces the element of individuality which is a driver of the event tone, highlighting the diversity of GRPS students.
Table Number Cards: Guests see the table number cards displaying their personal or company names easily, due to the bright colors and size of the card.
Pledgecard: Designed with efficiency in mind so that checks could easily be slipped into the client supplied envelope without risk of falling out. This saved the client a great deal of money on their production budget.
Program: Designed with a uniquely, angled approach that is still comfortably readable and carries the branding in a manner consistent with all other touchpoints.
The three primary goals for the presentation were: (1) To elevate the emotional impact of the event with large, professionally shot photography of the students. (2) Develop a system with the theme colors and use them in a way that presents the information succinctly and clearly. (3) Create prominence and focus on the sponsors.
Song Take-Away Card: The card was designed to communicate the final phase of the transformation. We chose the format specfically to relate to the program format and also to create a nostalgic feel for our target audience with the composition styled like a classic 45 rpm.
